THe voice Behind Sound & Colour

Hi there, I’m Clare! I’m a Toronto-based actor, dancer, and former ballerina with the National Ballet of Canada. I have a passion for all things music, arts, entertainment, and pop culture!

I have been in the arts my whole life, so you could say I am veryyyyyy enthusiastic when it comes to talking about music, film and tv. I have over a decade of experience performing with a live orchestra (subtle brag), and that is an experience I will cherish forever.

​Not to be cheesy, but I really love music. I am usually the person with the aux cord in a car or making the playlist for a party. I love breaking down lyrics, finding out where different samples originated from or listening for themes in a classical piece. Music is so important in film/tv, and can make or break a scene or even an entire film or episode. Music tells us a story, with or without lyrics.

​My goal of Sound & Colour is to create a platform to talk about the music used in film and television. Did I like it? Was it successful? Did I find a new artist I love? Did it contribute to the pop-culture around the film/tv?

I will be reviewing new and popular soundtracks and scores, as well as highlighting some of my favourites from the past. I hope to build a space where others can contribute their ideas and find their new favourite playlist.
